Indian Consul General Madan Mohan Sethi told the event that over the past 78 years, since gaining independence, India has made significant progress in all fields, from economics to culture, politics, and society, and has increasingly asserted its influence globally.

He said that Vietnam and India are connected by not only their history but also by the values of peace, cooperation, and mutual respect both are pursuing.

PM Pham Minh Chinh’s recent visit to India has strengthened the bilateral partnership with a joint statement on enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership toward higher political-strategic trust, deeper defence-security cooperation, more substantial and effective economic-trade-investment collaboration, broader cooperation in science-technology, and closer cultural-tourism and people-to-people exchange, according to the Indian Consul General.
