International Expo creates opportunities to develop support industry
(VOVWORLD) - The International Expo on Support Industries and Processing - Manufacturing (VIMEXPO) 2020 kicked off in Hanoi today, featuring nearly 250 stalls from over 170 exhibitors.

Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh told the exhibition's opening ceremony, “The event provides opportunities for Vietnamese businesses and sectors to partner, the public and private sectors to interact, and law-making agencies to fine tune support industry policies and sustainable economic development. There are chances for Vietnamese support companies to access foreign direct investment to form sustainable supply chains and values.”
British Ambassador Antony Stokes told the exhibition that the support industry plays an important part in attracting FDI and economic development in Vietnam. He said that Britain supports initiatives to maintain stability and resilience of global supply chains.
Two workshops will be held during the exhibition about opportunities for Vietnam’s support industry and opportunities and challenges of participating in global supply chains.
