(VOVworld) - The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Committee on Peace and International Security gathered in Hanoi on Monday to finalize a draft resolution on cyber warfare, which has become a serious threat to global peace and security.

Participants highlighted parliamentarians’ contributions to defining cyber warfare to clarify its imminent danger. They reached a consensus on the need for an international convention on the internet to prevent terrorists from conducting online crimes such as raising money for terror acts, recruiting personnel, and spreading violence among populations.

The draft resolution will be voted on Tuesday.
