Iran calls on the West to take practical steps in lifting sanctions

(VOVworld) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said that the US and the EU should take more practical steps to implement the nuclear deal called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

In Saturday’s joint press conference with his visiting New Zealand counterpart Murray McCully, Zarif urged the West to applied measures towards lifting banking and economic sanctions on Iran and persuading international banks to further their cooperation with Tehran.

A joint statement released by the US, the EU, France, the UK, and Germany on Friday affirmed that international banks and businesses do not need to flinch in cooperation with Iran.
