Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that despite efforts by all parties to reach a comprehensive agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program by the November 24 deadline, the talks have been tied up by a dispute over what limits should be placed on Iran’s nuclear activities. Araqchi said the next meetings between Iran, the US, and the EU will be held soon. The West fears that Iran’s uranium enrichment under its civil nuclear program will be used to create weapons of mass destruction, a possibility which Iran has consistently denied.
