(VOVworld) - Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh says his country is ready to supply European countries with natural gas. He was quoted by Press TV on Saturday as saying that as a country that has the capacity to supply gas in large volumes, Iran is always willing to export natural gas to Europe via pipeline or in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

He added that the Europeans are willing to diversify their sources of energy and this proposal of Iran stays out of the gas supply issues between the EU and Russia over the Ukrainian crisis. The European Union and the United States are negotiating with Iran on loosening the embargoes on oil and gas, which are part of sanctions imposed on Tehran to force this country to stop its controversial nuclear program.
