The international nuclear deal, officially called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), should benefit Iran by the removal of western sanctions, said the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Baqeri. However, if the sanctions return, it will make no sense to stay in the deal, he added. The agreement is a multilateral document which was achieved after months of diplomatic efforts and approved by the UN Security Council.
