Netanyahu expressed his concerns about this process and blamed the other side for “continuing to create fake crises and avoiding making the necessary decisions to establish a real peace”. The Israeli Prime Minister hoped that meetings between Kerry and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Israel will help to get the talks back on track. Kerry expressed his belief that a peace agreement still can be reached within the 9-month time frame. He admitted, however, that negotiations have hit a wall and “real negotiation and tough decisions” are needed from both sides. The same day, Kerry announced that the US will pay an additional 75 million USD to create jobs for Palestinians and to improve infrastructure.
