Israel's ground forces still remain in Gaza during the ceasefire.

The statement called on Israel and Hamas to practise restraint until the truce comes into effect while abiding by their commitments. It also indicated that during the ceasefire, all ground forces will be maintained, which means Israeli infantries will not leave Gaza, and that Palestinian civilians will receive necessities and medical assistance.
A Hamas spokesperson said Hamas and all other Palestinian political factions will respect the ceasefire as long as Israel follows the agreement.  Israeli and Palestinian missions will go to Cairo for talks with the Egyptian government on a long-term truce.
