Earlier Israel and Hamas agreed a 72-hour ceasefire in the Gaza strip.

An anonymous Israeli official was quoted by Reuteurs as saying that Tel Aviv conditionally agreed to extend the ceasefire without mentioning how long. Hamas chief Moussa Abu Marzouk said the two sides have not reached any agreement on the ceasefire’s extension. He warned of new attacks if Israel does not accept all of Palestine’s demands, which include ending the blockade of the Gaza strip and releasing all Palestinian prisoners.
The Al-Arabiya TV Channel said Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement to extend the ceasefire 3 more days. Israel wants Hamas to stop re-arming, before it will consider opening the border gates in Gaza.
