Israel sets conditions for a comprehensive agreement with Hamas
(VOVWORLD) -The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday clarified that Israel will agree to a comprehensive deal with Hamas on condition that all the hostages are released at once, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's conditions are fully met.

The Statement reiterates Israel's conditions for ending the war that include the disarmament of Hamas, the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, Israeli control of the Gaza perimeter, and the establishment of a governing authority that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority, and that will live in peace with Israel.
The move comes amid media reports that Hamas negotiators in Cairo this week signaled a willingness to come down from demands they made last month that led to the collapse of hostage talks in Doha, Qatar. There have been multiple reports in recent days of Hamas flexibility and its possible willingness to return to the proposal of Steve Witkoff, Special Envoy of the US President, for a 60-day ceasefire-hostage deal with provisions for negotiations on a permanent end to the war.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military confirmed that starting from Sunday, it has begun providing tents and other equipment to residents of the Gaza Strip before relocating them from conflict zones to “safer” areas in the southern part of the territory.
In a post on social media platform X, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee said the aid supplies would be transported through the Kerem Shalom crossing, in coordination with the UN and international relief organizations, after being thoroughly inspected by Israel’s Defense Ministry personnel.
