(VOVworld)- Israel approved a plan Wednesday to build 186 new houses in East Jerusalem, a settlement area occupied by Israel in the 6-day war in 1967. Jerusalem city Councilor Yosef Pepe Alalu said that 40 of 186 new houses will be built in Pisgat Zeev and the rest will be built in Har Homa.
The decision to assume the peace talks with Palestine backed by the US would failed by the April 29 deadline. Washington is urging both sides to agree to extend the peace talks until the end of this year. Palestine refused to extend negotiations because Israel has continued to build houses in the settlement area.
