Israel-Hezbollah border clashes reintensify

(VOVWORLD) - Israel and Hezbollah forces intensified cross-border attacks on Sunday after a short period of temporary calm.

Hezbollah conducted two rocket barrages into northern Israel on Sunday, read a statement later that day by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Earlier, a Hezbollah anti-tank guided missile on Kfar Yuval wounded an Israeli civilian and a member of the local security team, it added. Israel responded to the attacks with multiple airstrikes on the militant group’s positions.

Sunday’s clashes between Israel and Lebanon marked a significant escalation in both frequency and intensity compared to the day before, raising concerns over a return to prolonged hostilities.
