Israel-Vietnam Friendship Association established

(VOVWORLD) - The Israel-Vietnam Friendship Association was established at a ceremony at Israel’s Foreign Ministry headquarters in Jerusalem on Sunday. 

Former and incumbent Ambassadors and diplomats of both countries attended the event.

The Association's President, Amikam Levy, who is Israel’s former Ambassador to Vietnam from 2001 to 2003, said that the Association will work to further deepen bilateral relationship and similarities, especially in culture.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Ly Duc Trung said Vietnam considers people-to-people diplomacy an important part in creating and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment and contributing to national development and improving national status. The Israel-Vietnam Friendship Association will become a venue for everyone to promote bilateral ties.
