(VOVworld) - The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) held a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday for businesses from Italy’s Umbria region and Vietnamese businesses to strengthen links and seek investment opportunities. Italian Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Damiano Francovigia said that Italian businesses visiting Vietnam operate in a wide range of sectors including food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, agriculture, construction materials, automobile manufacturing, and other industrial sectors.

The Italian businesses said they hope to work with Vietnam’s ministries to learn more about the country’s mechanisms, investment policies, and legal framework for economic development. They want to get an overview of Vietnam’s economy before seeking more investment opportunities.
