Italian, Vietnamese communist parties share experience

(VOVworld) - A delegation from the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education headed by its Deputy Head Vu Ngoc Hoang, held a working session with the Communist Party of Italy (CPI) on Monday. Hoang thanked Italy’s leftist movement as well as the CPI in their support for Vietnam’s past struggles for national liberation and reunification as well as for the current process of national construction and development. He said he hoped that the CPI would continue to spare no efforts to fulfil its huge responsibility as a vanguard party and a political fulcrum of the Italian working people. CPI Secretary Maurizio Musolino applauded the tremendous achievements Vietnam has recorded during the three decades of pursuing the renewal process, which he said, was the most vivid evidence of the efforts and power of a nation led by the Communist Party. The two sides discussed theoretical issues related to the practical development of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the CPI, as well as the advantages and disadvantages for leftist movement in Italy, including the CPI.
