Army leaders, the Navy, Indonesian International Police, diplomats, the defense attaché in Indonesia and scholars from the UK, China, and Singapore joined the International Conference on “Cooperative maritime strategy to enhance Security and Stability in the South China Sea” in Jakarta. At the meeting, participants said that the general stance of the countries directly and indirectly involved in East Sea issues is to ensure security and stability in the East Sea. This stance is based on current agreements such as the declaration on the DOC towards COC, in compliance with the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982, approaching a flexible, constructive and comprehensive maritime strategy.
