The Japanese Coast Guard (JCG) is continuing to supervise the ships and warns that these ships must not enter any further into Japan’s territorial waters. This is the 19th time Chinese ships have entered Japan’s waters since the beginning of this year.
The Senkaku/Diao Yu islands are currently under Japan’s control. China also claims sovereignty over the islands and regularly sends patrol ships and aircraft to the area.
