Japan hit by 7.3 magnitude earthquake

(VOVworld)- An earthquake of magnitude 7.3 struck early on Saturday off Japan's east coast. The Japanese Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami advisory for coastal areas including Fukushima prefecture, warning people to leave the coast.

But it then canceled such advisory and warnings two hours later. Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has ordered the evacuation of workers at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. There were no immediate reports of damage on land from the quake. No abnormalities were reported at the Fukushima Daiichi plant as well.
