Japan has signed a non-refundable aid worth 123,000 USD for a project to help victims of bombs and mines in Quang Tri province. The project is being implemented by Humpty Dumpty Institute, HDI, a US non-governmental organization. Since early this year, the HDI has cooperated with a group called Restoring the Environment and Neutralizing the Effects of the War to carry out its “Mushrooms with a mission” program, worth US$1.4 million which helps Quang Tri farmers grow, process and market high-quality mushrooms in a sustainable way. The project will invest in new equipment to increase productivity.
