In the second time in less then 3 weeks Japan denounced China for similar events in the skies near the Japanese-called Senkaku islands, which China also claims and calls the Diaoyus. Tokyo said two Chinese SU-27 jets flew just 30 meters away from its aircraft in a spot where the two countries’ air defence zones overlap. Japanese top government spokesman Yoshihide Suga said it was an extremely regrettable action which cannot be tolerated.
