Japan to hold first talks with US in Reiwa reign
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump during an official visit to Japan met with Japanese Emperor and Empress on Monday, followed by a meeting with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to discuss bilateral trade relations and seek a new Japan-US trade agreement.

The two leaders will talk about ways to adjust the trade balance and US tariffs on Japanese beef, agricultural products, and automobiles. Trump and Abe will also discuss the Japan-US comprehensive partnership, North Korea’s missile tests, kidnapped Japanese citizens, Iran’s nuclear program, relations with China and Russia, and the G20 Summit in Osaka next month.
