(VOVworld) – A festival has been held in Thua Thien Hue province to honor schools and communities for their commitment to build a safer and more resilient environment in Vietnam.

Five primary schools in Thua Thien Hue were involved in the Education for Sustainable Development Initiative in Vietnam, co-organized by UNESCO and Samsung. The Initiative has obtained remarkable results and had positive impacts on the ability to prevent natural disasters affecting schools and communities. The program, which has created a foundation for national training programs for teachers, will be replicated in many localities.
