Khanh Hoa to host sixth Cham cultural festival in October
(VOVWORLD) - The sixth Cham Cultural Festival will be held in the central province of Khanh Hoa in mid-October, welcoming artists, artisans, and athletes from five provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

With the theme “Preserving and Promoting Cham Cultural Identity in the New Era”, the event will feature cultural, sports, and tourism activities, including folk songs, dances, instrumental music, ethnic costumes, re-enactments of traditional Cham rituals, and handicraft demonstrations, reflecting the unique contribution of the Cham ethnic people to Vietnam’s diverse cultural tapestry.
Other activities will include traditional Cham sports and folk games, competitions of community-based tourism skills, and a seminar promoting the use of Cham cultural heritage in tourism development.
The festival aims to promote Vietnam’s rich culture and unity and harmony between ethnic groups. It reflects the attention the Party and State give to preserving and promoting Cham culture and raises awareness and responsibility in developing Vietnamese culture to support sustainable national development.
