KOICA donates 6.3 million syringes to Vietnam's COVID-19 prevention

(VOVWORLD) - The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) on Thursday handed over 6.3 million single-use syringes to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, part of 42.5 million syringes worth 2.5 million USD that will be donated by the Republic of Korea (RoK) Government through KOICA to the Ministry of Health of Vietnam for its COVID-19 vaccination program.

According to Cho Han-Deog, Country Director of KOICA Vietnam, the RoK is committed to solidarity and cooperation to end COVID-19. He said he hopes KOICA's support will help ramp up Vietnam’s vaccination campaign.
