(VOVworld) – New Lao Ambassador to Vietnam, Thongsavanh Phomvihane, has affirmed he will do all he can to bring the Vietnam-Laos traditional relationship to a new level.

He said at a meeting with Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission on Thursday.

The ambassador thanked Vietnam for actively supporting and helping Laos to take on its ASEAN chairmanship in 2016.

Chinh said he believes that the ambassador will accomplish assigned missions to make the Vietnam-Lao relationship deeper, and more practical and effective in all fields for the prosperity of each country, and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the world.
