(VOVworld) – An art performance featuring Laos’s unique culture and praising the Vietnam-Laos friendship kicked off a Laos cultural week in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday and marked the 39^th Laotian National Day, which falls on December 2.

Addressing the celebration, Boungeun Sapuvong, Laotian Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, said he hopes Vietnam and Laos will continue to promote their traditional friendship and comprehensive co-operation. Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai said the Laotian Cultural Week in Vietnam is a good opportunity to expand mutual understanding between the two peoples. The activities of the Laos Cultural Week will be repeated later in the southern provinces of Hau Giang and Vinh Long.
