(VOVworld) – A solemn ceremony was held in Savannakhet, Lao, to mark the 95^th birthday of late President Kaysone Phomvihan. Attending the ceremony were Lao Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengxavat, Vietnamese Consul General in central Laos Nguyen Nam Cuong local leaders and residents.

Governor of Savanakhet province, Suphan Keomixay, reviewed the life and career of President Kayson Phomvihan who developed the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, armed forces, and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

The Vietnamese Embassy paid tribute to President Kaysone Phomvihan at his monument in the Vientiane museum on Saturday.
