(VOVworld) – Thousands of Protestants on Saturday took to the street in Edinburgh to protest the separation of Scotland from the UK ahead of a referendum of Scotland’s independence scheduled to be held on Thursday.

The organizers said 15,000 people participated in the demonstration to show their support to stay with the UK saying that they are proud of being part of the UK and calling for “No” votes in the upcoming referendum. According to the latest poll on the upcoming referendum in Scotland, the rate of pro- separation is 7 points higher than that of pro-independence.
