The lawmakers also discussed amendments and supplements to the Law on Credit Institutions. Some deputies called for a careful review of the plan to restructure financial organizations to ensure consistency between the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam, the Corporate Law, the Law on Bankruptcy, and other related laws.

The deputies said the regulations for putting credit organizations into special control, should match the market mechanism, and the oversight and inspection functions of the State Bank of Vietnam and be open and transparent.

In the afternoon deputies debated the draft Law on Vietnamese Representative Offices abroad.
