Prime Minister Chinh on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Board on the development of law projects within the management of the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance.

At the meeting, participants heard reports on  a proposal on revising the Law on Public Investment Law, and the draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Planning Law, the Investment Law, the Law on Public-Private Partnership, and the Bidding Law.

The Prime Minister said building laws must come from reality and respect reality. What was done effectively that has been proven correct by reality and agreed by the majority should be put it into law. He also noted that there should be no scattered investment, central investment should focus on inter-regional, provincial, national, international, and economic connection.

Prime Minister Chinh requested that lawmaking must cut administrative procedures, inconvenience and compliance costs for people and businesses. It’s necessary to boost decentralization along with resource allocation, improve enforcement capacity, clarify responsibilities and have tools to strengthen supervision and inspection, he said.
