(VOVWORLD) - Leaders of Cambodia, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Russia, Algeria, Kuwait, and the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Wednesday extended congratulations to the new State and Government leaders of Vietnam.

In a congratulatory letter sent to State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, King of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni expressed his belief that under the leadership of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Vietnam will harvest greater achievements to maintain its development momentum and progress in all aspects and play an important role in the region and the world.
The new President also received congratulatory messages from President of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Jong-un, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and Kuwaiti Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin delivered his congratulations to Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, noting that the two countries are enjoying their friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership. Russia and Vietnam are engaged in major cooperation activities in economics, trade, investment, energy, industry, infrastructure, science, and culture. Mishustin said the two governments will work closely together to consolidate Russia-Vietnam ties and launch new initiatives and orientations in the interests of both countries.

The same day, Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad also offered congratulations to the new Government leader of Vietnam.
WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab sent congratulatory letters to President Phuc and Prime Minister Chinh.
