Lebanon to protest Israeli spying in its territory

(VOVworld)- Lebanon is considering suing Israel before the UN Security Council for conducting a surveillance program in its territory.

Adnan Mansour, Lebanon’s Foreign Minister, said Lebanon is seriously evaluating Israel’s violations against Lebanon in setting up “sophisticated surveillance equipment” to penetrate Lebanon’s information network. Nabih Berri, the Speaker of Lebanon’s Parliament, said Israel has established spy stations along its border with Lebanon. Fayez Ghosn, Lebanese Minister of Defense, said Beirut “will not sit still and will refer the matter to the highest level”.
