“Love in Vietnam” movie premieres in India

(VOVWORLD) - "Love in Vietnam", a co-production between Innovations India and Samten Hills Vietnam, had its official premiere in New Delhi on Sunday, attracting wide interest from audiences in both countries.

Rahul Bali, CEO of Innovations India and the film’s producer, said at the special screening, the first-ever screening of the first-ever India-Vietnam collaboration movie that he feels blessed to be the producer of this film.

“We've got this idea from a festival in Vietnam called Namaste Vietnam Festival, and me and the director of the movie, Rahat Kazmi, we thought that let's make has a cross-border love triangle,” Rahul Bali recalled.

Kritika Juneja, a post-graduate student at South Asian University in New Delhi, said, “The movie has set a definite example for the two countries to collaborate to increase their people-to-people exchange, and Vietnam is one of the most favorable destinations as it is cheapest and one of the most beautiful places to get married at.”

Inspired by the renowned Turkish novel "Madonna in a Fur Coat", the film directed and written by Rahhat Shah Kazmi is a journey  exploring the picturesque landscapes of Vietnam, with 75% of the movie actually being shot in Vietnam, including Da Lat, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Phu Yen, and Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa.

These dreamlike settings amplify the romantic atmosphere of the story and present Vietnam’s natural beauty to an international audience. In addition, the presence of Vietnam Airlines in the film has improved the travel experience and cultural exchange between Vietnam and India.
