(VOVworld) - The Malaysian Embassy in Vietnam hosted a banquet on Tuesday celebrating Malaysia’s 58th National Day (August 31). Speaking at the event, Malaysian Ambassador Dato Azmil Bin Mohamed Zabidi said relations between Vietnam and Malaysia have grown closer since they officially established diplomatic ties 42 years ago. Congratulating Malaysia on its great achievements in recent years, Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh noted that their two-way trade turnover is approaching 10 billion USD. He said Malaysia is one of Vietnam’s top 10 investors with 495 projects. In 2015, Vietnam has welcomed 330,000 Malaysian visitors, and 280,000 Vietnamese travelers have visited Malaysia.
