May promises new vote on Brexit deal in next two weeks

(VOVWORLD) - UK Prime Minister Theresa May said Wednesday she will make a fourth attempt to break the deadlock on Brexit before European elections take place on the 23rd of this month.

She promised to meet the executive of the 1922 committee of backbench Conservative MPs next week to discuss a timetable for her departure but local media said  the chance of approving a Brexit deal this time is believed to be slight.

Her deal has been rejected 3 times by the House of Commons, forcing May to turn to the UK's main opposition party to get a deal approved. But there is no sign that the two parties can reach a consensus this time. A discussion between Prime Minister Theresa May and opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn on Wednesday was described as a collapse.
