A hotel in Ha Long City is blocked for disinfection.

It has been confirmed that dozens of passengers on the same flight with Hanoi’s first Covid-19 patient subsequently traveled to Ha Long. Four of the foreigners have tested positive for the new coronavirus.

Vu Van Dien, Secretary of the city’s Party Committee, said: “Ha Long has checked and will make medical records for all residents. The move will improve care for those who already have other diseases and help local officials assess public health.”

Ha Long authorities have checked individuals who were co-passengers on Vietnam Airlines flight VN0054 from London to Hanoi last Monday with Nguyen Hong Nhung, 26, Hanoi’s first Covid-19 patient and the nation’s 17th.

All of them have been quarantined and have submitted samples for testing. The four infected foreigners have been transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi for treatment.
