Meeting marks 65th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties

(VOVworld) – Vietnam and China’s friendly relations are treasures of both Parties and both peoples, said chairman of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Associations Vu Xuan Hong at a Friday meeting in Hanoi to mark the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties. Hong emphasized the importance of increasing mutual trust and understanding to further develop bilateral ties: "It’s necessary to have more friendly exchanges between Vietnam and China to improve trust and narrow differences. Let’s work for more appropriate cooperative measures for mutual benefit and implement an action program for the Vietnam-China strategic partnership."
Chairwoman of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Li Xiaolin shared Mr. Vu Xuan Hong’s view: "Vietnamese and Chinese people love peace and treasure friendship. We believe that friendly cooperation is a major trend and reflects both countries’ aspirations. China is ready to work with Vietnam for a better future."

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan hailed a joint proposal by the two friendship associations to organize a new tourism route this year which connects places President Ho Chi Minh visited in China. He said this tour would help educate the two countries’ younger generations about Vietnam and China’s traditional friendly cooperation.
