Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine and Moldova Nguyen Minh Tri expressed his gratitude to Ukrainian war veterans and Soviet Union experts who devoted their young age and efforts to support Vietnam’s struggles for independence: "Vietnam and Ukraine’s traditional relationship and comprehensive partnership has been nurtured and developed by many generations of both countries. The Ukrainian people have physically and spiritually supported the Vietnamese people during Vietnam’s struggles for independence and national construction. During the fierce war time, thousands of Ukrainian military advisors and experts spared no effort to help Vietnam defeat the US imperialists. Dozens of thousands of Vietnamese have received their education and training in Ukraine. We always treasure the support of the Ukrainian people."
