Mekong delta provinces asked to boost public investment disbursement for development
(VOVWORLD) -Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, Head of the Government's working team, met with three Mekong delta provinces of Tra Vinh, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang on the production situation, public investment, infrastructure construction, and import and export.
At the meeting on Saturday in Tra Vinh, Minister Son emphasized that the Government determines 2024 to be a year of acceleration and breakthrough, which is especially important in successfully implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025. He urged the three provinces to closely follow the set goals, tasks, and solutions, promote production and business, invest in infrastructure, speed up disbursement of public investment capital, and boost import and export.
He requested localities to consider the disbursement of public investment capital as a key political task to create motivation for socio-economic recovery and development associated with quality assurance. Drastically remove obstacles facing people and businesses for strong development of production and business activities and substantively reform administrative procedures and reduce business regulations, Minister Son said.
