The network aims to create a community of various stakeholders which can connect entrepreneurs, scientists and policymakers to develop the Mekong Delta region sustainably, adapt to climate change, and mitigate climate change risks.

The network has completed the development of operation regulations, established an executive board consisting of representatives of organizations and businesses in research, science, production-business, rice export, fruit and vegetables, and logistics.

Nguyen Phuong Lam, Director of VCCI Can Tho and President of the network, said: “The network offers a venue to exchange experiences and provides consultancy for the Government in policy making.”

“We do hope that the network will gather leading businesses and those with high community responsibility and major contributions to the national development. There will be role models to be replicated domestically and internationally,” said Lam.
