Migrant crisis: UK to take in extra 3,000 child refugees
(VOVworld) - The UK government said Thursday that it would resettle an additional 3,000 child refugees, the most vulnerable from conflicts in the war-torn Middle East and North Africa region over the next five years as part of an EU-Turkey deal reached last March.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs said in an announcement that the scheme would help children traveling alone or with relatives, and those at risk of child labor, child marriage or other forms of neglect, abuse or exploitation. Britain will also send 75 officials to Greece to help with administrative procedures for migrants at reception centers.
The same day NATO said it will continue patrols and other measures on Aagean seas to detect human trafficking and warned that the human traffickers can easily change routes and tactics.
