Millions join “Proud to be Vietnamese” art program

(VOVWORLD) -An art program called “Proud to be Vietnamese” on Sunday evening connected more than 30,000 spectators at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi with millions of Vietnamese people at home and abroad watching on TV and digital platforms.

The program marked the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

The performances were arranged in three chapters “Origin-Calling Vietnam by name”, “One Vietnam-Million hearts”, and “Proud to be Vietnamese” on a 360-degree stage. Inspired by the legend of Lang Lieu, a prince during the Hung King period, it combined the images of heaven and earth.

The audience were carried through an emotional journey, the golden pages of history from the time of the Hung Kings who founded the country, the victories against foreign invaders until the light of revolution illuminating the way for the nation, the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3, 1930, the outbreak of the August Revolution, and President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945.

The “Proud to be Vietnamese” program was organized by the Party Central Committee’s Information, Education, and Mass Mobilization Commission, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People’s Committee, Vietnam Television, and Netmedia Joint Stock Company.
