Month for the Poor launched in HCM city

(VOVWORLD) - HCM city aims to raise 7 million USD for poor and near-poor households during Month for the Poor launched by the municipal Fatherland Front on Saturday. The drive is part of the city’s multidimensional poverty reduction program until 2025.

The same day, the Front handed over donations to support local poor households and policy beneficiaries’s livelihoods and build and repair charity houses. It also gave scholarships to 1,800 students and announced a package of 360,000 USD to help outstanding students living in difficulties finish their study.

The Month for the Poor will run until November 18.
