(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has asked ministries and provinces to raise awareness and responsibility to promote poverty reduction. Speaking at an online conference to review a government resolution on rapid and sustainable poverty reduction in poor communes on Friday, the Prime Minister reiterated the task as a focal effort to turn Vietnam into a basic modern industrial country by 2020. Over the past 6 years implementing the government resolution, 22 trillion dong has been disbursed, or an average 40 billion dong per poor commune annually.
