More than 11 million Covid-19 cases reported worldwide
(VOVWORLD) -As of Friday, Worldometers.info was reporting 11 million Covid-19 infections worldwide, and 523,000 deaths.
The US, which is most affected by Covid-19, has yet to show signs of improvement. It has recorded over 8 million cases, and more than 130,000 deaths.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned the UN Security Council about the risks to global security and peace posed by Covid-19. He said he is worried about an increase in human rights issues because of the pandemic, as there have been many reports of police abuses in quarantine areas.
