The four-day festival is considered one of the two most important festivals in a year of the Muslims. In Egypt, with 95% of population following Islam, Egyptian Muslims have bought necessary food and new clothes for their family members to celebrate Eid al-Adha festival. They hoped their country will always be peaceful and stable, and the Muslims around the world will be happy and prosperous.
In some other countries suffering from difficulties after a long time of conflicts like Syria, Yemen, and Libya, the Eid al-Adha festival also took place in a jovial atmosphere. In Syria, many markets and stores in the capital of Damascus and other provinces became busy a few days prior to the festival. This year’s Eid al-Adha took place when a ceasefire in Syria was approved by Russia and the US, which facilitate the humanitarian aids in difficult areas, particularly Aleppo city.
