More than 60 killed in violence in Sudan's Darfur
(VOVWORLD) - More than 60 people have been killed and another 60 injured in Sudan's West Darfur region, the United Nations has said.
About 500 militants attacked the village of Masteri in the West Darfur state on Saturday afternoon. Several villages were burned, markets and shops were looted, and infrastructure damaged. After the attacks, hundreds of locals took to demonstrations requesting authorities to take action to protect people’s lives and property.
