More than 700,000 USD raised for disadvantaged people
(VOVworld) - 720,000 USD was raised at an art program in Hanoi on Wednesday to support people with disabilities and orphans.

The “One heart – One world” program was organised by the Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans (ASVHO) and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. The annual event aims to improve public awareness of disabled people and orphans and honor philanthropists. President of the Association Nguyen Dinh Lieu said:“Vietnam has promulgated important policies to support the handicapped and orphans, demonstrating our strong commitments to the benefits of disadvantaged people.”
The ASVHO has so far raised more than 110 million USD to assist disadvantaged people with orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation, cataract surgery, vocational training, and wheelchairs and bicycles.
