Most Germans prefer holding new elections

(VOVWORLD) - Most Germans want new elections following the failure of negotiations to form a coalition between the Free Democrats (FDP), Greens, the Democratic Union (CDU) and the Social Union (CSU), according to a survey published today by the Forsa Institute.

45% of voters said an election is an escape from Germany’s worst political crisis. 27% preferred a formation of a large coalition of conservatives and social democrats while 24% would opt for a minority government.
